Audrey June Mingo

Audrey J. Mingo, 82, of Glenwood, passed away January 1, 2015 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Glenwood. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the church with rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Audrey June Mingo, one of seven children of Lucille (Goebel) and Thomas Rex Perrin, was born on June 12, 1932 in Sioux City, Iowa where she graduated from high school.

Audrey and Leland Jules Mingo were married on October 28, 1950 in Sioux City and their marriage was blessed with seven children.

Audrey was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and watching the kids' sports activities. Audrey was a wonderful wife, homemaker, and a terrific mother and grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy.

Audrey passed away on January 1, 2015 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, at the age of 82 years, 6 months, and 19 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and four brothers.

Audrey is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Leland Mingo of Glenwood; children, Lori Gipson and husband Larry of Lincoln, NE, Terri Shannon of Glenwood, Susie Tack and husband David of Las Vegas, NV, Joseph Mingo and wife Kathryn of Islip, NY, Julie Anderson and husband Richard of Ankeny, IA, Mike Mingo and wife Kathy of Omaha, and Greg Mingo and wife Melissa of Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister Marilyn Jensen and husband Verle of Sioux City; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
