Bruce Prine

Bruce Prine, 72, of Carson, IA, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the Central Texas Veteran's Health Care System in Temple, TX. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bruce Douglas Prine, one of five children of Russell and Elsie (Gage) Prine, was born on July 9, 1947 in Glenwood, Iowa. Bruce graduate from Lewis Central High School and then enlisted in the United States Army in 1966.

Bruce married Vilai Mitseang in Thailand on March 4, 1968.

Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and the couple enjoyed wintering in Granger Lake, Texas. He enjoyed wood-working and tinker with things.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Vilai of Carson, IA; sons, Bruce Prine Jr. and his fiance Tina Kobes of Sioux City, IA and Michael Prine of Council Bluffs; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Elloree Wilson of Red Oak, IA, Geraldine Fullington of Council Bluffs, Robert Prine and his wife Balance of Council Bluffs; other relatives and a host of friends.

Bruce is preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Wayne.
