Debra Lynn Decair

Debra Lynn (Hammers) DeCair, 54, of Glenwood, IA, passed away on August 15, 2016 at her home in Glenwood. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, starting at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be held at the Waubonsie Cemetery, rural Glenwood.

Debra Lynn (Hammers) DeCair, daughter of Richard Eugene and Joy Emajo (Weir) Hammers, was born on December 9, 1961 in Hamburg, Iowa. She received her education from the Fremont-Mills School District, graduating in 1980. Following graduation, Debra became a certified medication aide where she worked in nursing homes. In 2011, she moved to live in Glenwood, Iowa.

Debra always enjoyed reading a good book, watching movies; and collecting salt and pepper shakers.

Debra passed away at her home in Glenwood on August 15, 2016 at the age of 54 years, 8 months, and 6 days. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and a sister, Peggy Marie, in infancy.

Debra is survived by her parents, Richard and Emajo Hammers of Glenwood; brother Dick Hammers and wife Cathleen of Magnolia, TX; sister Jan Ahrens of Nebraska City, NE; other relatives; and a host of friends.
