Donald Miles Kowskie

Donald Kowskie, 71, of Glenwood, IA, passed away on Sunday, February 27,2022 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood with Pastor John McNeil officiating. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Donald and his family.

OBITUARY
Donald Kowskie, 71, of Glenwood, IA, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Donald Miles Kowskie son of Eugene and Irene (Luczynski) Kowskie was born on April 21, 1950 in Omaha, NE. He graduated from Millard High School in 1968. He worked for Kellogg's in Omaha for over 30 years. He was a "cereal killer". Donald won the cutest butt contest when he was younger and was a lifeguard at the area pool.

Donald enjoyed fishing, really enjoyed being around people; he loved to ice skate, where he could even spin and do simple jumps. He and Kathie did a lot of ice skating when they were younger, he was one for always having a good joke, at Halloween time Don and Marcy always had the best costumes. He was blessed with two daughters, Kelly and Sara.

Donald was a member of the Common Ground Church.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gene Kowskie; brother in law Boone Snyder.

Donald is survived by his wife, Marcy of Glenwood, IA; daughters, Kelly Whitehead and her husband, Jeff, of Sunset, TX and Sara Kowskie of Council Bluffs, IA; 2 grandchildren, Brooke Smith and Erin Whitehead; 2 great grandchildren, Riley and Diesel; sisters, Kathie Eidem and her husband, Bud of Elkhorn, NE, and Mary Snyder of Omaha; brothers, Jeff Kowskie and his wife, Debbie, and Dennis Kowskie and wife, Susy; and sister-in-law Rita Kowskie, all of Omaha, NE; other relatives and a host of many friends.
