Donna Maxine Devilbiss

Donna Devilbiss, 82, of Atlantic passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab in Atlantic, IA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 6th from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Brethren Cemetery in Panora, Iowa.

Donna Maxine Gustin, one of six children of Fredrick Vernon and Margaret Blanche (Hopkins) Gustin, was born on February 24, 1933 in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She grew up and attended elementary and high school in Guthrie Center.
Donna and Kenneth Lavern Love were united in marriage on February 17, 1951 in Greenfield, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Margaret Jean, Randy Lee, and Kenneth Vernon. Donna also raised three of her nephews, Larry South, Michael Palm and Stanley Palm, sons of her sister Margaret, who tragically died in an automobile accident in 1956.
On February 12, 2002, Donna married Leo Herman Devilbiss in Henderson, Nevada and her family grew to include Leo's three children, Leo and Richard Devilbiss and Joy Ann Anderson and their families.
Donna had a work history that spanned over forty years. She worked for Eveready Battery, and Ameristar Casino. She enjoyed traveling, camping, baking, and was an active member of the Legion Auxiliary for 30 years, BW Club, and Wheeler Grove U.C.C.
Donna passed away in the Atlantic Nursing & Rehab Center in Atlantic, Iowa on August 1, 2015 at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 7 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Blanche Gustin; son Kenneth Love; nephew and foster son, Michael Palm; sisters, Margaret Palm, Genevive Driggs, Marie Wallace and Mae Kent; brothers, Bud Gustin, and Veryl Gustin; brothers-in-law, Harry Devilbiss, Junior Devilbiss, Harold Devilbiss, Richard Devilbiss; sisters-in-law, Elise Wiggins and her husband Nolan, Margaret Thogmartin and husband Bernard; and step brother-in-law Richard Kuster.
Donna is survived by her husband, Leo Devilbiss of Cumberland, IA; daughter, Margaret Jean Love of Atlantic, IA; son, Randy Love (Lesa Seil) of Jefferson, IA; daughter-in-law, Linda Love of Oakland, IA; nephews, Larry South (Gloria) of Council Bluffs, IA, Stanley Palm (Peggy) of Kent, WA; Leo's children, Jim Devilbiss (Nancy), Richard Devilbiss, Joy Ann Anderson (Ralph) all of Salem, OR; 6 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and extended relatives and friends.
