Donna Haney

Donna Haney, 88 of Malvern, IA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. As per her wishes, cremation will take place. Graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024 in the Malvern Cemetery. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern is caring for Donna and her family.

Donna Lorraine Haney 88, of Malvern, IA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Donna was born on December 20, 1935 south of Malvern, the oldest of five children of Paul Edgar Sr and Bonnie Maxine (Dalrymple) Haney. She worked as a school custodian for the Malvern School District until her retirement.
Donna grew up in Malvern where she attended school and graduated from the Malvern High School with the class of 1956. She enlisted in the United States Air Force on August 20, 1957 and served at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS, and Wiesbaden Airfield in Germany. She was honorably discharged at the rank of Airman 1st Class on August 19, 1960.
Donna was proud to have served her country and enjoyed visiting with friends. She spoke often about her love of her “pups” through the years whose companionship brought much joy to her life. Donna was quick to laugh at jokes and stories and didn’t like much fuss about her. Donna was a good friend to all who knew and loved her.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Shirley and Alice; and brothers, Paul Jr and Larry. She is survived by sister-in-law Ruth Haney; and many special friends.
