Earl Dweine Goldsberry

Earl D. Goldsberry, 93, of Glenwood, formerly of Malvern, passed away August 20, 2014 at the Glen Haven Home in Glenwood.

Cremation has taken place. Family directed services to be held at a later date.

Loess Hills Funeral Home of Glenwood assisted the family with arrangements.

Earl Dweine Goldsberry, one of five sons of Stella M. (Ogden) and Benjamin Richard Goldsberry, was born on March 25, 1921 in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
Earl and Mrytle Marie Watts were married in June of 1948. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter Sheryl. They made their home in Malvern, Iowa where Earl worked for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for over 25 years, retiring in 1965.

Earl and Marie later moved to live in Glenwood, Iowa. They were married 64 years when Marie died on December 1, 2012 at the Glen Haven Home.

Earl passed away at Glen Haven on August 20, 2014, at the age of 93 years, 4 months, and 25 days. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Alfred Goldsberry in infancy, and Paul Goldsberry and wife Alberta.

Earl is survived by his daughter Sheryl Vanfosson of Glenwood; grandsons, Jeffrey Vanfossen and wife Angela of Malvern, and Shawn Vanfosson and wife Mary of Sioux City, IA; great grandchildren, Lisha, Lewis and Lissa Vanfosson, all of Malvern, Sophia Vanfosson of Bellevue, NE, Chance Vanfosson and Madelyn Vanfosson, both of Shelby, IA, and Nicki and Trevor, both of Sioux City; brothers, Raymond Goldsberry and wife Delomia of Malvern, and Mark Goldsberry of Virginia; nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
