Evelyn Marie Howser

Evelyn M. Howser, 80, of Carson, passed away on December 15, 2014 at the Bethany Lutheran Home in Council Bluffs.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned, though her family and friends will be telling great stories and sharing wonderful memories about her for the rest of their lives.

Evelyn Marie Howser, one of ten children of Margaret Elizabeth (Campbell) and Emery F. Martin, was born on July 14, 1934 in Hastings, Iowa. She attended school in Glenwood, Iowa through the 10th grade. Evelyn worked as a CNA at the Oakland Manor in Oakland, Iowa.

Evelyn and Lawrence Alfred Howser were married on December 14, 1951. They made their home in Carson, Iowa and their marriage was blessed with two children, Cheryle and Timmy Lee.

Evelyn passed away on December 15, 2014 at the Bethany Lutheran Home in Council Bluffs, Iowa, at the age of 80 years, 5 months, and 1 day. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Aaron Elizabeth Rose; sister Edith Strong; and by her brothers, Keith, Charlie, Leslie, Donald, Clarence, Glenn, Robert, and Popeye Martin.

Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Lawrence Howser of Carson; daughter Cheryle Rose and husband Douglas of Carson; son Timmy Howser of Kansas; grandchildren, Tiffany Johnson, Nicole Rose, and Eric Rose and wife Brook; great grandchildren, Nathen and Sean Bruce, and Reichan Rose; and other relatives and friends.
