Floyd Campbell, 87 of Silver City, IA, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at CHI Health Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the Silver City Community Church with Pastor Ken Demlow officiating. Burial at a later date will at the Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, IA. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood, IA, is caring for Floyd and his family.

OBITUARY
Floyd Eugene Campbell, 87, of Silver City, IA, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at CHI Health Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.
Floyd was born on January 30, 1937 in Onawa, IA, the son of Hiram William and Edna Pearl (Stewart) Campbell. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Floyd worked as an assistant grounds supervisor at the Field Club of Omaha and Treynor Golf Course until his retirement after 55 years.
Floyd and Gloria Jean Posekany were united in marriage on March 11, 1978 in Omaha, NE. They were blessed with four daughters, Deborah, Thelma, Faith, and Christina. In 2003, he and Jeanie moved from Omaha to live in Silver City.
Floyd was a member of the Silver City Community Church, the VFW, and FOE. He enjoyed gardening and reading.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Edna; daughter Thelma Chudomelka; brothers, Leo, Raymond, Kenneth, Gerald, and Wayne; and sisters, Thelma Shellenberger and husband Ray, Darlene Grandgenette and husband Harlan, and Elsie Grandgenette and husband Benjamin.
Floyd is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Gloria “Jeanie” of Silver City; daughters, Deborah (Gary) Jones of Bentonville, AR, Faith (Jimmy) Cosier of Sioux City, IA, and Christina (Darrel) Lethcoe of Sioux City; 5 grandchildren, Candy Strauss, Robert Rupe, Tasha (Tom) Sherlock, Joshua (Leigh) Lethcoe, and Danielle Cosier; 8 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.
