Gloria Fader

Gloria Emelda Fader, daughter of Marion Boucher and Harold Fader, was born in Sioux City, Iowa on April 13, 1935. Gloria grew up in Sioux City where she attended school. She was 8 years old in January of 1943 when she was placed at the Glenwood State Hospital School in Glenwood, Iowa. Gloria lived on the campus of the school until moving to Clarinda, Iowa on August 8, 1951. She also lived in Cherokee, Iowa and then returned to the Glenwood Resource Center on July 7, 1999. Gloria enjoyed collecting dolls and angels and in February of 2001, she moved from the Resource Center to her home in Glenwood.
Gloria died at her home on February 7, 2005 at the age of 69 years, 9 months, and 25 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her special friends Davie Strand and Tonya Pettit. Gloria was loved by many friends who she considered her family.
