Gregg Kinsley

Gregg Kinsley, 60, of Glenwood, IA , passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2019. Time of Gathering will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June, 15, 2019 at the Loess Hills Funeral and Cremation Center in Glenwood. Following the gathering friends are invited for a time of fellowship at Cheers Lounge in Glenwood.

Gregg Roland Kinsley, 60 of Glenwood, IA, passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2019.

Gregg was born on March 1, 1959 in Shenandoah, Iowa, the son of Thomas Edward and Ramona Fern (Meyer) Kinsley. He grew up in Glenwood and graduated from the Glenwood High School with the class of 1977. Following school he enlisted in the United States Army. Gregg worked as a manager of Subway in Glenwood for 19 years.

Gregg married Karen Lynn March. The couple was blessed with three children, Angela, Tina, and Sean. They eventually divorced.

Gregg and Dawn (Smith) Sills were married in Glenwood on September 12, 2009. His family grew to include Dawn's two children, Joshua and Janaye.

Gregg was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed bowling, golf, playing pool, and playing cards on Mondays; He also played both fast and slow pitch softball. Gregg loved giving suckers to the grand kids, earning him the name "Sucker Grandpa". He enjoyed telling jokes and was an easy-going guy.

Gregg was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Gary Kinsley.

Gregg is survived by his wife Dawn of Glenwood; children, Angela Conant of Bellevue, NE, Tina (Kane) Razor of Glenwood, and Sean (Tiffany) Kinsley of Red Oak, IA; Dawn's children, Joshua Sills (Shantey Faubel) of Glenwood, and Janaye (Josh) Decker of Glenwood; 12 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; sister Tammy (David) Terveer of Glenwood; many nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a host of friends.
