Joan Bendt, 71, of Glenwood, IA passed away at her home on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Burial will be at the Silver City Cemetery.
Visitation for the family and friends will be held prior to the funeral on Wednesday August 7th beginning at 9:00 a.m.

OBITUARY
Joan Bendt, 71, of Glenwood, IA, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
Joan Elizabeth Williams, one of eight children of Aaron and Emma (Stacy) Williams, was born on December 21, 1952 in Council Bluffs, IA. She received her education from Glenwood schools graduating with the Class of 1971. On July 11, 1970, she married Ronnie Philip Bendt at the parsonage in Silver City, IA. The couple was blessed with three children, Brian, Renae and Jason. Joan worked at the Glenwood Resource Center retiring in 2016.
Joan was an avid mushroom hunter; was a very good cook, enjoyed playing cards, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She had a loving heart and enjoyed taking care of others.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ronnie; sister Mary Greenlee; and brother Ronnie Williams.
Joan is survived by her children, Brian Bendt and his wife KJ of Glenwood, Renae Pearce of Malvern, and Jason Bendt of Forest City, AR; six grandchildren, Jesse, Paige, Aaron, Taylor, Dawson, and Alexis; siblings, Sid Williams and his wife Josie of Malvern, David Williams of Glenwood, Robert Williams of Creston, Eunice Blackman and her husband Donald of Malvern, and Marjorie Roberts of Malvern; other relatives and a host of many special friends.
