Josey Lee Janssen

Josey Lee Janssen, 33, of Council Bluffs, passed away on September 12, 2014. Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at the Loess Hills Funeral and Cremation Center in Glenwood.

Josey Lee Janssen, one of three children of Loyd and Brigitte (Gieck) Janssen was born on July 23, 1981 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He attended Glenwood schools, graduating in 1999.

Josey enjoyed playing the guitar, working on anything that had a motor from cars to motorcycles, collecting antiques and restoring them, and listening to his vinyl record collection.

Josey is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ed and Leanna Janssen.

Josey is survived by his parents, Loyd and Brigitte Janssen of Pacific Junction, IA; sister, Katja Janssen of Omaha, NE; brother, Joshua Janssen of Omaha, NE; maternal grandparents, Adolff and Gertrude Gieck of Stuttgart, Germany; nieces and nephews, Kristen and Kyle Paulsen of Omaha, and Siera and Tristen Janssen of Council Bluffs; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
