Judith Hight

Judith Hight, 74, passed away on July 27, 2026 at the Bailey Pointe Miracle Hills Assisted Living in Omaha, NE. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Waubonsie Cemetery in rural Glenwood. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Judith and her family.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to SOLAS.

Judith Ann Hight, one of six children of James and Mina (Stallard) Hight was born on
December 25,1951 in Bremerton, WA. She graduated from Hogan High School in Vallejo, CA with the Class of 1970. She later received an Associated of Art degree in finance.
Judith moved to Glenwood, IA in 1997. She worked at the Glenwood Resource Center as the switchboard operator for over 25 years up until the resource center closed in 2024. Judith had a great love for both the individuals that lived at GRC, as well as those she worked with there.
Judith loved her cats, she was a proud supporter of the SOLAS cat rescue in Council
Bluffs and the TNR (trap, neuter, release) program for stray cats in Glenwood. Judith enjoyed daily visits to the Glenwood Lake Park to watch the geese. Judith was a big advocate and supporter of small town Glenwood and would patronize all the small businesses, but most of all she loved her family.
Judith is preceded in death by her parents; brother Tom Hight and sister Nancy Zucca; and brother-in-law Dennis Nelson.
Judith is survived by her son Ryan Glover and his wife Jessica of Glenwood;
grandchildren Roman and Isabelle; brothers Paul Hight of Rockland, CA and Mark Hight
and his wife Connie of Yuba City, CA; sister Robin Nelson of Miami, FL; brother-in-law
Phillip Zucca of Omaha, Ne, sister-in-law Nancy Hight; niece Jennifer and Jody Zucca-Lewis of Council Bluffs, niece and great nephew Melissa and Kenyen Gatlin of Omaha, niece Courtney and Holland Zucca and great nephew Elias Zucca of Council Bluffs and many other nieces and nephews across the country.
