Karen Popejoy

Karen Popejoy, 73, of Glenwood, IA passed away at her home on Friday, December 19, 2025. There will be no scheduled service as her wishes were to be cremated. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Karen and her family.

Karen Sue Popejoy, daughter of WavaLou (Jackson) and Odell Bowley was born on June 26, 1952, in Lincoln, NE. She graduated from Malvern with the Class of 1970. She later went on and received her master's degree in psychology. She worked for a correctional facility in Nebraska as a Psychologist. She later cared for her mom and dad for over 20 years.

Karen enjoyed her cats, shopping online, and would enjoy sitting on the couch reading a good book.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents; brother David Popejoy and sister Sherri Timm.

Karen is survived by her sister Kathie Gillett and her husband Dennis of Malvern and brother Charlie Bowley and wife Cindy of Malvern; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and host of friends.
