Kenneth Curry

Kenneth Glenn Curry, one of two children of Genevieve Marie (White) Curry and Howard Glenn Curry, was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on December 27, 1951. Ken grew up in Glenwood, Iowa where he was baptized at the First Baptist Church in March of 1962. He attended school and graduated with the Class of 1970.

In 1969, Ken began working at the Glenwood State Hospital School. Ken continued to work in the mental health field, moving to Clarinda, Iowa in 1974, and then to Phoenix, Arizona in 1975. In 1984, Ken began working for the State of Arizona as a Certification Manager for the Title 19 program.

Ken loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed reading, traveling, and music. In 1996, Ken's health forced him to retire, and in 2008, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska to be closer to family and friends.

Ken died at the Golden Living Center in Plattsmouth, Nebraska on January 11, 2011, at the age of 59 years and 15 days. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ken is survived by his sister, Barbara Crouch and husband Richard of Malvern, IA; nephews, Gary Crouch and Russell Crouch, both of Glenwood; and Joel Crouch of Malvern; and niece, Diana Crouch of Silver City, IA.
