Lawrence Frain

Lawrence Calvin Frain, one of six children of Hattie Florence (Bisbee) and John William Frain, was born on his parent's farm in the Wheeler Grove community near Carson, Iowa on March 25, 1925. Lawrence graduated from the Macedonia High School in 1945 and began his lifelong career in agriculture. All of Lawrence's time was spent on the farm and his hobbies and enjoyments included caring for the land, the livestock, and repairing machinery. In October of 1999, Lawrence's health forced him to move to the Griswold Care Center in Griswold, Iowa. In October of 2001, he moved once more to the Bethany Lutheran Home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Lawrence died at Bethany on March 4, 2004 at the age of 78 years, 11 months, and 10 days.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Neva Kuhr; and brothers Albert Frain and Hollis Frain. He is survived by his sisters Norma Frain of Carson and Eva King of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
