Len Tyson

Leonard "Len" Tyson, 65, of Tabor and formerly of Pacific Junction, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Tabor Manor Care Center in Tabor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Burial will be at the Martin Chapel Cemetery north of Pacific Junction. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Leonard Keith Tyson, 65 of Tabor, Iowa, passed away at the Tabor Manor on August 31, 2019.

Len was born on September 26, 1953 in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Harry Louis and Shirley Ann (Cain) Tyson. He grew up in Crescent, Iowa, attended high school and served in the United States Army. Len lived in Pacific Junction, Iowa and worked as a grain elevator foreman.

Len and Angie Pakos were united in marriage on October 14, 1975. The couple later divorced.

Len was mechanically talented and enjoyed working on vehicles. He also enjoyed fishing and restoring furniture. Len was a great dad, grandpa and brother and a good friend to all who knew him.

Len was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William, Tom, Gale, Darrell and Jim; and sisters, Mary Ann and Marilyn.

Len is survived by his sons, Ryan Tyson (Laura) of Glenwood, Matthew Tyson of Pacific Junction, and Josh Tyson (Carina) of Glenwood; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Diane Nelson and Chris Waldron; brother Mike Tyson and wife Diane; former wife Angie Tyson; extended relatives; and a host of friends.
