Lenora Stogdill, 90, of Silver City, IA, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Glen Haven Village in Glenwood, IA.

Private Family Graveside Services for Lenora, her husband Gerald (passed away September 11, 2024) and their son Steven Stogdill (passed away September 7, 2024), will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 in the Mineola Cemetery, Mineola, IA.

Following the graveside service, an open visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Silver City American Legion Post 439 in Silver City.

Lenora Mathilda Stogdill, 90, of Silver City, IA, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Glen Haven Village in Glenwood, IA.
Lenora was born on September 4, 1933 in Glenwood, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Dietrich) Techau. She graduated from high school in Silver City with the class of 1951. Lenora worked in administration at the Glenwood State School until her retirement.
Lenora and Gerald Herbert Stogdill were united in marriage on June 12, 1955 at St. John Lutheran Church in Mineola, IA.
Lenora was a member of the Silver City Library Board and the Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, scrapbooking, and baking.
Lenora was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Lisa Kaufman; and sister Betty Lay.
Lenora is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gerald Stogdill of Silver City; sons, Ron Stogdill and wife Teresa of Lincoln, NE, and Steve Stogdill of Omaha, NE; son-in-law Curt Kaufman of Glenwood; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother Fred Techau and wife Dorothy of Silver City; other relatives and several special friends.
