Lonnie Trede

Lonnie Trede, 58, of Macedonia, passed away at his home on December 13, 2015. Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Loess Hills Funeral and Cremation Center in Carson with Reverend Bruce Smith, officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the funeral home.

Lonnie Lyle Trede, one of four children of Lyle Herbert and Mary Lua (White) Trede, was born on January 19, 1957 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He graduated from the Carson-Macedonia High School in 1975. Lonnie worked for Clausen Brothers Trucking, the Co-op, and for the Pottawattamie County Roads Department until his retirement in 2014, due to health issues.

Lonnie and Roberta Ann Shriver were married at the Macedonia United Methodist Church. They were blessed with two children, Jesse and Jana. The couple's marriage later dissolved.

Lonnie enjoyed playing jokes on his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Lonnie loved watching his son Jesse play football and daughter Jana play softball. He was a good son, a wonderful brother, and a great dad and grandpa.

Lonnie passed away at his Macedonia, Iowa home on December 13, 2015, at the age of 58 years, 10 months, and 24 days. He was preceded in death by his father Lyle Trede.

Lonnie is survived by his son Jesse Trede and wife Lindsey of Omaha, NE; daughter Jana Trede of Des Moines, IA; granddaughter Ava Marie Trede; mother Mary Lua Trede of Carson, IA; and sisters, Marlene Houser and husband Kent of Wichita, KS, Marsha Sternberg and husband Rick of Carson, and Madolyn Frink and husband Jim of Henderson, IA; extended relatives; and many, many friends.
