Matthew Hall

Matthew William Hall, the oldest of three sons of William George Hall and Debra Jane (Parrott) Hall, was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on October 11, 1985. Matt lived with his family in Crescent, Iowa, until 1989 when he moved to the Glenwood Resource Center in Glenwood, Iowa. Matt's unique personality quickly won over those who cared for him. He loved his staff and interacting with people. His great smile and infectious laugh seemed to brighten the day of anyone around him. He enjoyed listening to music, and watching television and videos. He completed his schooling in 2007 and enjoyed a graduation reception in his honor.

Matt died at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska while being treated for a bowel obstruction on June 16, 2008. He had attained the age of 22 years, 8 months, and 5 days. Matt was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bernard H. Hall and Verle Parrott.

He is survived by his parents, William and Deb Hall and brothers, Benjamin Hall and Zachary Hall, all of Crescent, IA; grandmothers, Marriett Hall and Hazel Parrott, both of Council Bluffs; uncles, Michael Parrott and wife Patricia of Ft. Worth, TX, Bernard Hall and wife Debra, and Tom Hall and wife Belva, all of Council Bluffs; aunts Edith Johnson and husband Bob and Evelyn Hall and husband Klaidas, all of Council Bluffs; cousins and friends.
