Monte Morast

Monte Morast, 72, of Malvern, IA passed away at his home on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Per Monte’s wishes cremation has taken place.

Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at his home on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Loess Hills Funeral and Cremation Center in Glenwood is caring for Monte and his family.

Monte Ray Morast son of Raymond and Elma (Mohl) Morast was born on January 17, 1954, in Hazen, North Dakota. On September 5, 1998, he married Rhonda Flora in Malvern, IA. He was lifelong electrician and worked for Associated Fire Protection in Omaha for 25 years.
Monte is preceded in death by his parents; daughter in infancy Cassie Morast, and daughter Robbie Morast.
Monte is survived by his wife of 28 years Rhonda of Malvern; son Adam Morast and wife Danyelle of Omaha, NE; stepchildren Adam Braun and wife Brittny of Glenwood and Sarah Bartling and husband Ryan of Papillion, NE; 15 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings Kelly Morast of Manhattan, N.Y., Barry Morast of Minot, N.D., Jolene Schmitz and husband Mark of Fosston, MN; other relatives and a host of many special friends.
