Monty Ray Gordon, one of seven children of Marlene Levonna (Campbell) and Earl David "Curly" Gordon, was born on November 10, 1962 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He grew up in Malvern, Iowa where he attended school. Monty was a "jack of all trades" and worked various jobs through the years; at a factory, housekeeping at a nursing home, sky jet manufacturing, concrete work for Bud Strand and worked at a green house.
Monty enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and working in the garden. He loved his animals and especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, whom he could never say "no" to. Monty could be just a little ornery from time to time, but he was much loved by his family and friends.
Monty passed away at his home in Malvern on September 23, 2015 at the age of 52 years, 10 months, and 13 days. He was preceded in death by his parents Marlene and Earl Gordon; brother Rick Gordon; and niece Jennifer Greene.
Monte is survived by his siblings, Terry Gray of Malvern, Pam Winchel of Pocatello, ID, Marlene "Aggie" Sealy of Gans, OK, Earl Gordon of Malvern, Brenda Kelsay of Glenwood, IA, and Orrie Gordon of Malvern; sister-in-law Laurie Gray of Malvern; nieces and nephews; and extended relatives and friends.
