Patrick Monroe

Patrick Monroe, 62, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at the Shenandoah Medical Center. There will be no scheduled services. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Patrick and his family.
Patrick Anthony Monroe son of Alfred Eugene Sr and Retha Virginia (Colvin) Monroe was born on November 10, 1963. He moved to the Glenwood Resource Center in 1980. Following the closure of the resource center he moved to Shenandoah.
Patrick is preceded by his brothers Bruce and Alfred Jr.
Patrick is survived by his parents Alfred Sr and Retha Monroe of Muscatine, IA; siblings Gary Monroe of Rock Island, IL, Brian Monroe of Muscatine, IA, Kevin Monroe of Maryland, Marsha Monroe and Heather Monroe both of Iowa City, IA and Tracey Monroe of Muscatine, IA; Aunt Mert of Rock Island, IL; special friend Eve Causery of Iowa City, IA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; other relatives and a host of many friends.
