Peggy "Peg" Rupe

Peggy "Peg" Rupe, 73, of Pacific Junction, IA passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Peg and her family.

Peggy Marie (Burgoin) Rupe grew up on a farm outside of Silver City, IA. She was one of two children of Jack Eugene and Margaret "Midge" (Riggins) Burgoin.

She married Richard James Rupe of Pacific Junction, IA on August 14, 1970. The couple was blessed with three children, Samuel Franklin in 1971, Jacquelin Marie in 1975 and Jill Marie in 1977. Richard and Peggy ran the local tavern, Rupe's Bar. Peggy worked at Glenwood State Bank for over 40 years.

She loved her family and her friends, especially her grandchildren, her hometown Rams, and she really loved her Iowa Hawkeyes... Go Hawks. Not to mention she was a huge fan of John Wayne, Glenn Miller, Abbott and Costello.

She is proceeded in death by her parents; her son; and many many family members and close friends. She is survived by her husband, Richard; her daughter, Jackie and her three children and her daughter, Jill and her husband and their two children; her brother and his family Gloria, Valerie and Megan and their families; many cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of many friends.
