Phyllis June Robbins, one of three children of Floyd and Blanche (Percival) Church, was born in Hillsboro, Iowa on October 21, 1902. On September 1, 1935, Phyllis and Clifford H. Robbins of Malvern, Iowa were united in marriage. They made their home on the Robbins farm east of Malvern and were blessed with one son, Robert Morgan.
