OBITUARY
Rita Sue Stacy, 65 of Malvern, IA, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Rita was born on July 5, 1956 in Council Bluffs, IA, the daughter of Raymond Marvin and Delomia LaVon (Howser) Goldsberry. She grew up in Malvern where she graduated from the Malvern High School with the Class of 1974. Rita worked as a residential treatment worker at the Glenwood State School until her retirement.

Rita and Dean William Stacy were united in marriage on March 2, 1976 in Glenwood, IA. They made their home in Malvern and were blessed with a son Matthew.

Rita enjoyed taking trips with Dean where they would take part in off-road 4/4 rock-crawling on the rock trails in the mountains. She enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together, reading, and indulged in buying scratch off tickets and doing a little gambling at the casinos. Rita was always there to lend a helping hand whenever needed. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mom, and a good friend to all who knew and loved her.

Rita was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; beloved hubby Dean in 2019; and brothers-in-law, Charles Goodman and Stuart Stacy.

Rita is survived by her son Matthew Stacy of Malvern; parents, Ray and Delomia Goldsberry of Malvern; sisters, Sandra Harvey and husband Lane of Farragut, IA, and Diana Goodman of Malvern; brother Jeff Goldsberry of Malvern; sister-in-law Terri Stacy of Malvern; nephews and nieces, Christopher (Michelle) Stacy, and Robert (Jessica) Stacy, all of Aurora, NE, George (Terry) Tappan of Tabor, IA, Joseph Tappan of Hamburg, IA, Gayla Pittman (Charles) of Arkadelphia, AR, and Shanna Coleman (Jon) of Cardwell, MO; other relatives; and many special friends.
