Robert D. Busse

Robert Dean Busse, son of Clara Etta (McConell) Busse and Bernard Spencer Busse, was born in Omaha, Nebraska on February 24, 1939. Bob grew up on a farm between Lewis and Griswold, Iowa, attending both schools. Following school, Bob began working for Scott Killinger on a farm east of Macedonia, Iowa.

Bob and Margaret Aleen Watkins were married in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on August 30, 1957. They made their home east of Macedonia, Iowa just off the Pioneer Trail. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Timothy Bernard and Debby Lou. Bob farmed for the Killinger's for 35 years before retiring and moving into Carson in September of 1989. Bob began working as a sales representative for the Searle Oil Company and opened Busse Tire Repair, where he kept busy servicing cars. He also enjoyed working in the yard, his shop, loved to fish, and when the neighbors would stop in for coffee.

Bob and Aleen had been married 52 years when Bob died at the Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa on December 13, 2009. He had attained the age of 70 years, 9 months, and 19 days.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Kelly Hull. He is survived by his wife Aleen Busse of Carson; son Tim Busse and wife Linda of Omaha, NE; daughter Debby Hull of Concord, CA; three grandchildren, TJ, Chris, and Jennifer; three great grandsons, Bradley, Brandon and Joey.

A memorial fund has been established.

Interment in the Carson Cemetery.
