Robert William Leick

Robert Leick, 62, of Glenwood, passed away at his home on January 27, 2016. Celebration of Life will be 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood with Rev. Dan Siepker officiating. A time of gathering will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the family.

Robert William Leick, the youngest of three children of William Leonard and Mae Ann (Pospisal) Leick, was born on January 3, 1954 in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from high school in Glenwood, Iowa and began his career in farming.

Robert and Paula Sue Martin were married on November 28, 1981 in Pacific Junction, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with one son Jim.

Robert loved to tell jokes, being on the farm, and was known for his generosity. He and Paula were married 34 years when Paula passed away at their home on December 24, 2015.

Robert passed away at his rural Glenwood home on January 27, 2016, at the age of 62 years and 24 days. In addition to his beloved wife Paula, Robert was also preceded in death by his parents; and brother Wayne Leick.

Robert is survived by his son Jim Leick of Glenwood; sister Marcia McGrath of Council Bluffs, IA; sisters-in-law, Karen Leick of Glenwood and Dana Calta and husband Jeff of Jupiter, FL; nieces, nephews, extended relatives; and many friends.
