Robert Maxwell

Robert G. Maxwell, 70 of Glenwood, IA, passed away at the Salem Lutheran Nursing Home in Elk Horn, IA. Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the Glenwood Community Church with Pastor Mark Smeltzer officiating. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the funeral at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Tabor Cemetery in Tabor, IA. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Robert and his family.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed by the family.

Robert was born on April 30, 1953 in Hamburg, IA, the son of Alonzo Robert and Fern Olive (Snyder)
Maxwell. He graduated from Fremont Mills High School in 1972. Robert worked at the Glenwood Resource Center as a Residential Treatment Worker.
Robert and Joyce Marie Brammer were united in marriage in 2001.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister Edith; brothers, Claude (Lonnie), Paul, and Eric; and step daughter Shelly Boulton.
Robert is survived by his wife Joyce of Glenwood; stepson Troy Grindle (Stephanie) of Glenwood; stepdaughter Charity Boulton of Red Oak, IA; 8 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; brothers, Bill and Phillip Maxwell; sisters, Daisy Rice, Sharon Higgenbotham, and Sue Hammons; sister-in-law Carol Maxwell; and other relatives and a special friends.
