Ronald - Cross

Ronald Cross, son of Arlie Lavera (Sayres) and Elmer Joseph Cross, was born on March 24, 1940 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He lived in Council Bluffs for many years. Anyone who lived in, worked or fought fires in the south end of Council Bluffs during the '50s, '60s, or '70s, probably knew Ronnie. He was made an honorary member of No.5 Fire Station at 19th Ave and South Eighth Street. Ronnie loved to joke around and had nick names for many of the firefighters. He loved to drink Pepsi and his favorite candy bar was Three Musketeers.

In October 2007, Ronnie moved from Midlands Living Center in Council Bluffs to the Manor of Malvern (now known as Faith Ridge Life Center) in Malvern, Iowa.

Ronnie passed away at Faith Ridge on February 18, 2013 at the age of 72 years, 10 months, and 24 days and was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Council Bluffs on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10 AM.
