Shirley Ann Borntrager

Shirley Ann Borntrager, 84, of Council Bluffs, passed away on Aprl 13, 2015 at the Hospice with Heart House in Glenwood.

Shirley Ann Boots, daughter of Albert and Bertha (Haynor) Boots was born on October 29, 1930 in Mechanicsville, Iowa. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon. She was a secretary for the State of Iowa.
Shirley and Andrew A. Borntrager, Jr. were married on January 5, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Lee, Cheryl, and Sandy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Andrew in 2012 and great granddaughter Danika.
Shirley is survived by her children, Lee Borntrager and wife Donna of Cedar Rapids, Cheryl Anson and husband Jeffrey, and Sandy Altic, both of Council Bluffs; sister, Doris Harness of Mechanicsville; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
