Sid Williams, 80, of Malvern, IA, passed away at his home on Friday, March 27, 2026. Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fairview Hills Golf Course in Malvern. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern is caring for Sid and his family.

OBITUARY

Sidney George “Sid” Williams, 80 of Malvern, IA, passed away at his home on Friday, March 27, 2026.
Sid was born on April 6, 1945 in Camden, AR, one of eight children of Aaron and Emma Fay (Stacy) Williams. He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1963 and served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. Sid worked at Unitog in Glenwood for many years until the business closed. He then worked 5 years at the Glenwood Resource Center as a Residential Treatment Worker until his retirement in 2007.
Sid and Josie Marie Blackman were united in marriage on November 30, 1965 in Council Bluffs, IA. They made their home in Malvern and were blessed with two children, Shelly and Michael.
Sid enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, playing cards and watching his grandchildren’s sports activities. He loved when his family members would gather at his home, which was quite often.
Sid was preceded in death by his parents; great granddaughter Kennedy Haley; and siblings, Mary (Jack) Greenlee, Ronald Williams, and Joan (Ronnie) Bendt; and brother-in-law Terry Roberts.
Sid is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Josie Williams of Malvern; daughter Shelly (Mitch) Worcester of Malvern, and Michael (Lisa) Williams of Malvern; 6 grandchildren, Melissa (Nick), Nick, Shawn, Madison (Hunter), Emily and Jordan ; 2 great grandchildren, Matthew and Bexley; siblings, David Williams of Glenwood, IA, Robert Williams of Creston, IA, Eunice (Donald “Chipper”) Blackman of Malvern, and Marjorie Roberts of Norwalk, IA; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and a host of special friends.
