Sylvia Harris

Sylvia Harris, daughter of Henry Hampton Kizzier and Elizabeth Mary (Cook) Kizzier, was born July 20, 1917 on a farm near Pacific Junction, Iowa. She attended school in Pacific Junction.

On October 18, 1934, Sylvia and William Hester Harris were united in marriage in Pacific Junction. They made their home in Pacific Junction and were blessed with three sons, Jackie, Bill Jr., and Robert. Sylvia enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her children.

Sylvia and Bill had been married 55 years at the time of Bill's death on May 23, 1990.

Sylvia died during surgery at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa on October 7, 2005 at the age of 88 years, 2 months, and 17 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; six sisters; son Jack L. Harris; grandson Robert Harris, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Sylvia is survived by her sons Robert Harris and William Harris of Council Bluffs, IA; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
