Tom Naylor, 90, of Red Oak, IA, formerly of Malvern, IA, passed away November 10, 2016 at the Montgomery County Hospital in Red Oak.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Malvern Cemetery.
Thomas Marlin Naylor, one of four children of John and Tacie Agnes (Paulson) Naylor, was born on February 4, 1926 in Crookston, Minnesota.
For many years, Tom was a resident at the Nishna Cottage in Malvern, Iowa until the Cottage's doors closed and he moved to the Manor of Malvern. While he lived at the Cottage, Tom would always be seen walking down Main Street wearing his bib overalls. Those who knew his unique and friendly personality would be greeted with a big "hello" and a friendly chat would take place. He usually was on an errand and didn't want to be late in getting back to the Cottage. When the nursing home closed, Tom moved to live at the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak, Iowa.
Tom passed away at the Montgomery County Hospital in Red Oak on November 10, 2016, at the age of 90 years, 9 months, and 6 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Frances Cobb and husband John; and brother John "Jack" Naylor.
Tom is survived by his sister Mary Jane Suttle and husband Henry of Waukesha, WI; sister-in-law Marie Naylor of Carrollton, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
