Vicki Drews

Vicki Lee Drews, 72, of Malvern, IA, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at UNMC in Omaha. A Time of Gathering with family present will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern is caring for Vicki and her family.

OBITUARY
Vicki was born on June 4, 1951 in Ottumwa, IA, the daughter of Charles Alonzo and Shirley Faye (Ingersoll) Springer. She graduated from Fremont High in Nebraska with the class of 1969.
Vicki and James Wayne Drews were married on September 1, 1970 in Yutan, NE. The couple was blessed with three children, Jason, Amanda, and Zachary. Vicki and Jim moved to live in Malvern in 2003.
Vicki enjoyed being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a realtor for a time, daycare provider for over 40 years, a member of the Malvern Zoning and Planning Board and a vital EMT member of the Malvern Volunteer Rescue. Vicki enjoyed doing yard work, crocheting, and quilting. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents.
Vicki is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim Drews of Malvern; children, Jason Drews of Red Oak, IA, Mandi (Jeff) Oyster of Malvern, and Zach Drews of Glenwood, IA; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Sandra Gannon of Dallas Center, IA, Donna “Mikey” Irving of Butterfield, MO, Linda Black of Chariton, IA, Charles Springer of Marshalltown, IA, Brian Springer of Malvern, Jackie Collins of Logan, IA, and Patty Craft of Logan; other relatives; and many close friends.
