Warren Guy Robertson, one of four sons of Fred Guy and Lillie L. (Gilman) Robertson, was born on July 25, 1921 at his parents' rural Silver City, Iowa home. He graduated from the Treynor High School in Treynor, Iowa in 1939.

Warren built a home north of Silver City and he married Ruth Evelyn Kelly on Christmas Day in 1950. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter Phyllis in 1954.

Warren farmed until the late 1960s, then successfully owned and operated Robertson Feed and Supply until his retirement. He and Ruth moved to live in Glenwood, Iowa in 1992. He spent his following years playing with his three grandchildren and doing some traveling. He was a member of the Loess Hills Woodturners Club and enjoyed wood-working, making anything from a scaled kitchen set for the grandchildren to a large wall armoire, and even made a wooden canoe with a close friend. Warren was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and a good friend to all who knew and loved him.

In 2010, Warren and Ruth moved to live in Council Bluffs, Iowa to be closer to their daughter. Warren passed away on February 28, 2015 at the Bethany Lutheran Home in Council Bluffs, at the age of 93 years, 7 months, and 3 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Glenn, Harvey and Claude Robertson; his uncle, Phillip Gilman and wife Madeline; and brother-in-law Eugene Kelly.

Warren is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Ruth Robertson of Council Bluffs; daughter Phyllis Fouts and husband Barry of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Joshua Fouts of Omaha, NE, Lesha Crilly and husband Ryan of Lincoln, NE, and Ramie Louks and husband Brad of Tucson, AZ; sisters-in-law, Shirley Robertson, Delores Robertson, Flossie Robertson, and Wilma Kelly; and many nephews and nieces and their families.
