OBITUARY
Wendy Lou Miller, 71 of Glenwood, IA, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
Wendy was born on December 15, 1953 at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Raymond and Betty Jean (Miller) Graber. She grew up in Omaha and graduated from South High in 1972. Wendy was employed at the Federal Reserve, then owned and operated the Stick Shack (a former hockey equipment store) in Omaha, before working at the First National Bank in Glenwood until her retirement in 2019.
Wendy made Glenwood her home for the last 20 + years. Fondly known as “Breeze”, she was an avid reader and had a Master’s Degree in porcelain doll making. If she saw a doll she liked, she ordered it and take the time to research the type of cloth used for that era and would hand-make all the clothing, even the shoes, for that doll. Wendy attended several national doll making conventions and taught many lessons in the art of doll making. Wendy had a great love for her wiener dogs, with her last one named Buster.
Wendy was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Michael Taylor and Thomas Hornstein; husband Michael Miller; and brother Leslie Graber.
Wendy is survived by her granddaughter Mikala Taylor of Omaha; siblings, Ray Graber (Shari) of Waterloo, NE, Patty Eden (Tom) of Thurman, IA, and Fred Graber of Ames, NE; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and a host of many special friends.
