Winifred Louise Edwards, the youngest of four children of Ola Blanche (Blagg) and Edward Weaver Patton, was born on May 15, 1920 in Barnard, Missouri. Her family lived on the White Cloud Farm west of Barnard. Louise helped out on the family farm, whether driving the hay team, chasing chickens or riding her pony to take water out to her father in the field. She graduated from high school in Barnard and attended college for one semester.

Louise met her future husband, William Kee Edwards, during the summer of 1938 at the 71 club in Pumpkin Center, Missouri, where they spent many nights dancing. The couple married on August 9, 1941 in Maryville, Missouri and were blessed with a daughter Vicki Lou.

Louise enjoyed many family outings with her parents and siblings to the 4th of July celebrations at Pumpkin Center and the Annual Barnard Picnic, which later included her husband Bill. During her marriage, Louise worked as a dietary supervisor and was recognized for her loyalty and 23 years of service at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, Missouri.

Louise and Bill were married 35 years when Bill passed away. Louise eventually moved to Malvern, Iowa to live near her daughter Vicki and family.

Louise enjoyed watching nature, especially birds and butterflies and was a huge Kansas City Royals fan. She enjoyed many vacations with her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters. "Grandma Weezy" doted on her granddaughters, Traci and Kim, and her three great grandsons, Bryce, Keith and Drew. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Louise passed away at the Glen Haven Home in Glenwood, Iowa on November 29, 2014, at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 14 days. In addition to her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Vicki Tornquist in 2004; brother Leland Patton and wife Dorothy; and sisters, Geraldine Erickson and Pauline Patton.
